About
My research examines the history of Norplant, an implantable contraceptive device that was FDA approved in 1990. Using Norplant as a lens, my research contributes to a number of growing historiographies, including population control politics, transnational feminism, reproductive justice, and social policies in the 1990s.

In addition to my research, I find interacting with students to be one of the most meaningful parts of my academic life. Since Fall 2020, I have been teaching at Randolph College. As the current Ainsworth Visit Scholar, I have had the opportunity to teach courses in US, African American, and Women's History and Gender Studies as well as construct the college's 2020-2021 American Culture Program, an experiential learning program centered on reproductive justice.
